Words can sow love too,Just as they can inflict hurt –Which ones will you choose?

The sun does its thing,Rising, shining, and setting,And the world goes on.

The bright summer dawn,Yields defeat to wintry onesNuked by a warm bed.

When a smile beguiles,Does evil lurk behind it?Read between the lips.

Gauge the optics,Power play or politics –Either is a fix.

Why sheer curtains?To reveal in obscuring,Those hiding in light.

The white of pure snow,The dark brown of dirty sludge –To think they’re twins.

The swimming pool’s full,But the taps have all run dry –When plenty’s no good.

Where did I leave it?It’s not hiding in my pocket,It’s peace, not car keys.

The night sky is dark,Not a speck of light in sight,Or perhaps it’s an eclipse.
