Your home is crowded,There’s no room for both of you –So you assume shame.

The voices tell youTo let the intruder in;You do, and shame’s in.

In the end, you knowThis is where you will belong,For’er – in yourself.

You crafted its walls,You filled its rooms with wonder,And you settled in.

Maybe there is oneA place like none – to belong,A sliver of home

You think you want toGo back inside – truth is though,You’ll no more fit in.

If you can, walk outOn your own terms – failing which,You give in to shame.
